PLI Taps Berliner Cohen Associates for Advisory Group

The Practising Law Institute has selected Berliner Cohen associates Kate Wilson and Heather Munoz to participate on the organization’s Associate Advisory Group. The PLI Associate Advisory Group includes second and third year associates and in house counsel attorneys who will provide PLI with feedback on technology, programs, and business development.
Ms. Wilson is an associate in the employment law group where she is involved in providing both advice and counsel as well as litigation services for employers. She represents companies on employment matters at administrative hearings, fact-finding conferences, and settlement conferences. She assists clients in drafting personnel policies, employee handbooks, settlement agreements, and separation and release agreements. Ms. Wilson provides training in workforce sexual harassment, discrimination and retaliation, and conducts audits of workplace policies and procedures.
Ms. Munoz is an associate in the business litigation group and tasked with looking at improving the Firm’s data management technology. Her practice focuses on business litigation relating to contract disputes, trade secrets and unfair competition, sales and transactions, commissions, and fraud and fraudulent conveyance. Ms. Munoz handles all aspects of litigation, with a focus on law and motion. She is similarly experienced in seeking provisional remedies, negotiating settlements and participating in mediation.
